JONATHAN MATTHEWS Chartered FCSI

Jonathan has been advising clients for over 30 years, where his career started in London working for Chase de Vere Investments.
Having spent 4 years there getting a grounding in his profession, he then decided to set up his own firm, Warner Matthews Ltd, with the intention of providing clients with the highest level of personalised, bespoke investment and financial planning advice.
Jonathan is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. The qualification that he holds evidences a high level of knowledge and expertise which is recognised by the regulator (FCA) and other recognised professional bodies.
Jonathan’s interests and hobbies include, “attempting to keep fit, music, walking the dogs, boating and field sports, and above all else, spending time with the family.”
Axelle Wall

Axelle has been with the company for over 15 years. Prior to joining Warner Matthews, she worked for the global brand and media agency, Schawk, as manager of the client servicing department.
Axelle oversees the day-to-day production of the business, with particular attention applying to the setting up of nominee services for clients on which their investment portfolios are run, reconciling the firm’s accounts, producing suitability reports and speaking with clients personally.
Axelle’s interests and hobbies include “taking my horse to equestrian events including endurance horse riding. I also enjoy socialising with my friends, taking my daughter to various sporting activities, running, walking the dogs and swimming.”
Emma Miles Chartered MCSI

Emma joined the firm in the autumn of 2013 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds the Financial Planning Certificate under the auspices of the Chartered Insurance Institute, as well as the CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice (Financial Planning & Advice) and the CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice (Securities). Through continued professional development with the CISI Emma now holds the title Chartered MCSI.
Emma provides financial advice to new and existing clients. Emma undertakes research and advice in all financial planning matters from holistic asset management, pension funding strategies, illustrations for protection purposes and other more detailed mandates.
Prior to joining Warner Matthews she was at Legal & Medical for 3 years, and before that she spent 8 years at Kellands (Glos) Ltd.
In her spare time, Emma volunteers as ‘Treasurer’ for her local village football club, Bredon AFC. She also stages a live music event in her village with a small committee once a year to raise money for charity, raising just under £10,000 in total to date. Emma’s interests and hobbies include “going to the gym and to push myself to train for different events. I completed the London Marathon in 2007 and have taken part in several Sprint Triathlons. I enjoy the outdoors including walking and cycling”.
Ben Surtees

Ben is the latest member to join Warner Matthews having joined the firm in the spring of 2019, following an extensive 22 year career as a Fund Manager Director with Jupiter Asset Management. Ben ran Asian portfolios on behalf of retail clients as well as running Asian sub funds of global equity funds. He was also a member of Jupiter’s Stewardship and Governance committees.
He holds an Investment Management Certificate and is currently qualifying as a Financial Adviser, taking the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma. Alongside this he provides in-house asset allocation analysis and research, report writing and strategic financial planning.
Ben’s interests and hobbies include ‘playing golf and tennis, walking the dog with his wife and watching the various sporting activities of my three children.’
Kerry Bellamy

Kerry joined the firm in the spring of 2018 and has an administration and support role within the firm, as well as producing client valuations, report writing and assisting with technical support and research.
Prior to joining, Kerry worked for a total of 18 years in the horse racing industry for Kim Bailey Racing and Tom George Racing as a PA/Racing Secretary.
Kerry’s interests and hobbies include ‘walking my patterdale terrier Twiglet, I am a keen horse rider, and I also enjoy following my stepson’s career as a National Hunt jockey.’
Jayne Brett

Jayne joined Warner Matthews in June 2021 and works as a Personal Assistant, providing administrative support as well as producing client valuations, report writing and assisting with technical support and research.
Prior to joining the firm Jayne spent many years overseas, most recently in the Cayman Islands where she held the role of School Business Manager. She has also held a similar position in Doha, Qatar and prior to that took care of the accounting for a small hotel in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Her background has provided wide ranging experience in accounting, finance and administration.
On deciding to return to the UK Jayne picked Cheltenham off a map and is delighted to find it offered all she wanted, a beautiful town with excellent facilities and plenty going on, as well as gorgeous countryside close by.
Outside of work Jayne keeps herself busy taking care of her daughter and setting up her new home. She enjoys long walks in the countryside, playing tennis and spending more time with her family. She has also recently volunteered to be Chairperson of the PTA of her daughter’s school.
